A Solon woman was taken into custody Monday afternoon after police allegedly discovered a quantity of methamphetamine.
44-year-old Sky Moore of Randall Drive was stopped outside the city just before 5pm because she was known to have a barred driving status. Upon contact, Moore admitted knowing she was barred, and placed under arrest.
A narcotic search on the vehicle by a K9 alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics inside, and officers reportedly found nearly 7 grams of meth in a black backpack belonging to Moore. The backpack also allegedly had two loaded syringes of what appeared to be methamphetamine, packaging supplies and a scale.
Moore was charged with Driving while Barred and a Class B Controlled Substance Violation. If convicted on both charges, she could be sentenced to up to 27 years in prison.
