Two area residents were killed Monday morning in Mahaska County in a head-on crash.
The sheriff’s office reports that at 10:15, two vehicles collided on Highway 92 near the intersection of Urbana Avenue. A Chevrolet pickup driven by 32 year old Chase Von Lienen of North Liberty crossed the center line and collided with a semi driven by 55-year-old Anthony Wagg of Washington.
Lienen and his passenger, 40-year-old Bobbie Jean Milford of Wellman, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their bodies were taken to the state’s Medical Examiners office in Ankeny for autopsies.
The driver of the semi was uninjured.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
