Iowa City Police have identified the two men found dead under different bridges on Monday.
26-year-old Jonathan Guerrero of Iowa City was identified as the man found under the bridge on the 400 block of South Gilbert Street, in the water of Ralston Creek. Guerrero was found at approximately 6:45 Monday morning.
Iowa City Police have also identified the man found under the Highway 6 bridge over the Iowa River around 2:45pm Monday. He’s identified as 45-year-old Eric Riskedahl of Iowa City.
Investigators don’t believe any suspicious or criminal circumstances are involved in either man’s deaths, and the two deaths are believed to be unrelated.
Police Sergeant Derek Frank says more details will be released on both incidents as they become available.
