A Muscatine man who stopped off for a Starbucks after allegedly stealing a vacuum from a Coralville department store led to his arrest.

Authorities say that 28-year-old Zachary Marshall of Demorest Avenue was seen by loss prevention at Target on January 14th of this year carrying a vacuum valued at about $300 to the Starbucks kiosk inside the store. He then allegedly carried the vacuum out through the mall entrance without any attempt to pay for it.

He was stopped outside the store and the vacuum was recovered. Under Miranda, Marshall allegedly admitted to the theft.

Marshall was taken into custody and charged with 4th Degree Theft. His arraignment was scheduled for March 18th but Marshall failed to appear and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Marshall was located and arrested Tuesday night and taken to the Johnson County Jail. His new arraignment is scheduled for July 1st.
