A Fairfax woman with a history of drug convictions was taken into custody Saturday morning after hitting a crash attenuator on southbound I380.

49-year-old Kendra Gardner was involved in the incident at 5am. She told police she was on her way to transport a patient of hers to an appointment, and allegedly admitted to recently using meth.

Measurable signs of impairment were observed of field sobriety tests, but PBT and Datamaster tests showed no evidence of alcohol in her system. She reportedly refused to consent to a urine sample.

Deputies allegedly located a baggie containing 14 grams of meth, a hydrocodone pill and multiple additional pills not prescribed to Gardner.  Baggies that were reportedly previously used for marijuana and a small scale with white residue were also discovered.

Gardner faces a Class B Controlled Substance violation, a 3rd or subsequent Controlled Substance violation, Failure to Affix Drug Stamp, first offense OWI, and two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Prescription Drug.
