A traffic stop has led to a Davenport woman being charged with drug possession.

25-year-old Chaize Foulks was observed Monday afternoon near the intersection of Gilbert and First streets operating a 2009 Pontiac with no license plates or a temporary tag, prompting a stop.  A check of her driving status showed her as suspended.

A K9 alerted positive on the vehicle, and a probable cause search allegedly located a blue powdered substance believed to be cocaine that field tested positive for the drug.  Foulks then reportedly pulled a plastic container from under her extra skin beneath her clothing that contained a green leafy substance suspected to be marijuana.  A straw was also allegedly located, used for snorting narcotics and containing residue.

Foulks was taken into custody and charged with a controlled substance violation, keeping vehicle for controlled substances, marijuana possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted on all counts, she could be sentenced to over four years in prison.
