An area transient was recently arrested on a warrant from an incident last year where he was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine.

Coralville Police were called to the 300 block of Westcor Drive on the reports of a man inside an industrial-sized dumpster outside a warehouse in the early morning hours of October 22nd.  42-year-old Justin Woods was identified from previous calls, and allegedly was observed with a plastic sandwich bag containing a white substance. He also reportedly had a large wooden plank in his hand.  Both items were taken from Woods, and the substance in the bag was believed to be methamphetamine.

Once the substance tested positive for the drug, a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Police located Woods February 27th on the 1800 block of North Coral Street while he was walking away from a vehicle. Despite commands to stop, Woods allegedly kept walking around a building and was eventually stopped.

Woods allegedly refused to identify himself when arrested.

He was charged with meth possession from the October incident, and Interference with Official Acts. If convicted on both counts, he could be sentenced to up to 13 months in jail.
