Iowa City man accused of threatening to have two women sexually assaulted

Allegedly threatening to have two women sexually assaulted has led to an Iowa City man’s arrest.

According to arrest records, around 7:00 on the night of January 11th 29-year-old Saylor Lyons of Newton Road sent multiple audio recordings to another party who lives in Coralville. One message reportedly includes Lyons telling the recipient that he hopes their mother and daughter get sexually assaulted. During the recording, Lyons allegedly pauses and states he’s going to make a phone call. Police say Lyons was alluding to making contact with someone who would sexually assault the person’s family.

Lyons is charged with 1st Degree Harassment. If convicted, he faces a maximum of two years in jail.
