Hoover Museum to begin long term renovations next week

Edited release
01/13/25

This is the last week the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum will be open, ahead of its first renovations in over 30 years.

A release from the West Branch facility indicates multiple upgrades will include creating an immersive experience for visitors of all ages to learn and understand the stories of Herbert and Lou Henry Hoover in new, engaging ways. It will also bring a small expansion to the main lobby and gift shop, and a new façade at the front of the building.

The Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum will remain open through Sunday from 9:00 am to 5 pm. As of Monday, January 20, the Museum will be closed the rest of 2025, with plans to open in Summer 2026. This will not impact the facility’s Research Room, as researchers are still welcome to use and access the Library’s holdings.
