A Kalona man was arrested after allegedly grabbing a bottle of alcohol without permission at a local grocery store.
Police say that approximately 6:50pm Monday, 36-year-old Daniel Chesrown went behind the bar area of the HyVee on Waterfront Drive and grabbed a bottle of alcohol. He allegedly walked away without paying and was located a short time later with measurable signs of intoxication.
A PBT reportedly showed his breath-alcohol level at .214 percent.
Chesrown was charged with 2nd degree Burglary and Public Intoxication. If convicted, he could face a prison term of over ten years.
