Iowa City man accused of biting woman’s finger during verbal altercation

Allegedly biting a woman’s finger during a verbal altercation has led to an assault charge against an Iowa City man.

According to arrest records, 59-year-old Reginald Osburn was arguing with a woman over money at his Shannon Drive apartment just before 8:00 Saturday night. Osburn reportedly told Iowa City Police that the woman got into his face, so he pushed her away. When she got back into his face and pointed her finger at him, he allegedly bit it, leaving a mark.

Osburn is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury. If convicted, he faces a maximum of one year in jail.
