Weather, holidays and other factors have limited the number of Walk-Through Wednesdays at this season’s Holiday Lights at the Lake. But representatives from the organization announced on KCJJ’s “Middays at Monica’s” show Thursday that they could fit one more such event into the schedule…just not on a Wednesday.
This Sunday (Dec. 29) will be a special walk-through night at the mile-long light display at West Overlook Campground…just west of the dam on Coralville Lake. Gates are open Sunday night from 5:30-8:30 and entry is $5.00 per person with ages two and under entering for free.
Holiday Lights at the Lake runs nightly through New Year’s Eve with drive-through events on every night other than Sunday. For more details, go to the Holiday Lights at the Lake Facebook page or the group’s web site, holidaylightsatthelake.com.
Proceeds benefit the Bird House hospice home of Johnson County.
