An Iowa City woman was arrested after investigators identified her as the person who burglarized a campground restaurant earlier this year.
The incident occurred at the Beyonder Getaway at Sleepy Hollow Campground in Oxford during the overnight hours of August 20th. 51-year-old Nicole Haman was reportedly observed on surveillance cameras entering the establishment and rummaging through the shelves near the cash register.
A neighboring business camera also allegedly captured a vehicle matching the description of Haman’s van pulling into the property just prior to the alleged burglary.
When interviewed, Haman reportedly provided two different alibis concerning her whereabouts at the time of the burglary, both of which determined to be false.
A warrant was issued on September 13th; Haman was taken into custody Saturday morning and faces a charge of 3rd degree Burglary. If convicted , she could be sentenced to up to five years in prison.
