Parking at the Terry Trueblood Recreation Area in the middle of the night led to the arrest of an Iowa City man on marijuana possession charges.

Police observed 19-year-old Misraim Arrazola Agustin of South Riverside Drive in the parking lot of the Recreation Area at 1:45am Monday. His vehicle was not running. He was allegedly observed with the strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.  A probable cause search reportedly discovered a marijuana grinder with a green leafy substance, a dispensary baggie containing a green leafy substance, a THC wax burner, and a small cube consistent with THC wax.

Arrazola Agustin was charged with first offense marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, and could be sentenced to up to 13 months in jail if convicted on both counts.
