A Solon man is accused of cutting a woman with a knife.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says 53-year-old John Legrand of Sandy Beach Road was at the camper he shares with the alleged victim at the Io-Dis-E-Ca campground just after 6:15 Wednesday night when he reportedly threatened the woman, then pulled out a knife and cut her on her right hip. Legrand fled the scene before deputies could arrive, but he was taken into custody just before 8:00 at another location.
Legrand is charged with Domestic Abuse Assault While Displaying or Using a Weapon. If convicted, he faces a maximum of two years in jail.
