Iowa City Police seek public’s help in identifying persons of interest in vandalism investigation

The Iowa City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying two persons of interest in a vandalism investigation.

At 12:10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, two white individuals entered the construction site on the east side of City Hall, 410 E. Washington St., and vandalized the site, as well as a nearby vehicle.

Police would like to speak with the two individuals photographed above about any knowledge they have of the incident. Anyone with information on the individual’s identities is asked to contact Officer Abe Schabilion at Schabilion@iowa-city.org.

This incident is being actively investigated by the Iowa City Police Department and we are asking the public for assistance. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Iowa City Police Department at 319-356-5275. In addition, anyone in that area with security cameras is asked to review their recordings and contact the Iowa City Police Department with any potential footage or information about this incident.

Iowa City Area Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information about this incident that leads to an arrest.
