An Iowa City man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting his landlord.

Police were dispatched to the Davenport Street residence of 18-year-old Lekeith Chambers the afternoon of October 14th on reports of a fight between a landlord and tenant.  It was reportedly determined that Chambers stuck the 70-year-old man at least once in the head during an argument at the front door of the residence.

The landlord suffered a small abrasion to the left side of his forehead and was knocked to the ground.

Chambers has been charged with assault causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor punishable by a jail term of up to a year if convicted.
