A Kalona brewery is ceasing operations after over a decade in business.
The owners of Kalona Brewing Company have announced in a Facebook post that their final day of operations will be on Halloween. The post cites the COVID-19 pandemic as the reason for the closure, saying the business never recovered from the financial hit.
Kalona Brewing Company owners Ted and Becky Nagy say they are exploring other business opportunities, hinting that they could reopen if they found the right new partners.
The brewery’s merchandise and kegs of beer are on sale at a sizeable discount through the end of the month.
Kalona Brewing Company opened in 2012.
