Iowa City Police say a suspect in a disturbance at a fast-food restaurant had a unique way of conveying his intoxication level.

Officers were called to the Boyrum Street Burger King for a subject causing issues with staff just before 8:00 Friday night. The suspect, identified as 57-year-old Alonzo Smith of the Town & Campus Apartments on Arthur Street, allegedly claimed there were no issues. Police say Smith showed signs of intoxication. When asked how much he’d had to drink, Smith reportedly responded by pointing at his hamburger.

Smith was arrested for Public Intoxication. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 30 days in jail.
