A Cedar Rapids man was arrested on criminal mischief charges stemming from an incident before the September 14th Iowa football home game.

At approximately 12:45 that afternoon, police were called to Lot 48 on Myrtle Avenue for a report of a physical altercation between two men.  It’s alleged that prior to the altercation, 38-year-old Randalle Knapp of Old Orchard Road NE caused property damage to a 2024 Tesla by flipping a folding table onto the hood. The officer on scene estimated the damage at between $750 and $1500.

A warrant was issued earlier this month, and Knapp was charged this week with 3rd degree Criminal Mischief, an aggravated misdemeanor. If convicted on the charge, he could be sentenced to up to two years in jail.
