An Iowa City man faces numerous charges after a bar check reportedly found him to be underage.

Just after 1:20am Saturday, 20-year old Isaac Collins-Ward of North 1st Avenue was holding an alcoholic beverage when police did an ID check at Reunion Brewery on East College Street. He was reportedly observed with bloodshot watery eyes, the odor of ingested alcohol, and refused to identify himself.

Collins-Ward continued to refuse to identify himself despite given numerous explanations as to why he was required to.  He was arrested, and a search of his person allegedly turned up a fictitious ID making him appear to be of legal drinking age.

Once taken to jail, a second fictitious ID was found in Collins-Ward’s wallet by staff.

He faces a PAULA charge, being under legal age in a drinking establishment after curfew, Public Intoxication, and two counts of Possession of a Fictitious ID. If convicted on all charges, Collins-Ward could be sentenced to a maximum 25 months in jail.
