The subject of a manhunt near Columbus Junction last week has been taken into custody.

The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office says Brian Calvin was taken into custody early Saturday morning after a citizen reported seeing him near his residence.

Calvin was the subject of a September 26th manhunt after a reported domestic abuse and harassment situation at a residence on County Road W22. Calvin fled the house on foot before law enforcement could arrive.

The Columbus Junction Police Department, Winfield Police and the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office conducted multiple searches in the area with a K9 and a drone.  They also warned residents within a five-mile radius to lock up their properties.

A list of charges filed against Calvin has not yet been released.
