The Steve and Sheryl Brown Family of rural West Liberty have gifted $5,000 to the Muscatine County Fair Event Center for landscaping infrastructure.
Both Steve and Sheryl were nine-year members of 4-H. Four of Steve and Sheryl’s five children were also involved in 4-H, while Sheryl served as a 4-H leader for several years.
The Brown Family sees the new building as an opportunity to bring groups to West Liberty for both large and small meetings and events. Fair manager Kelsey Meyers says that Muscatine County has no large capacity facility, and hopes the new building will be well known for being one of the best meeting places in the county and Eastern Iowa.
