The Iowa City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance while investigating a reported assault at West High School.
ICPD officers received a report of an assault that occurred at 6:55 Monday night in the West High parking lot. The victim…a high school-aged female…reported being approached from behind and assaulted by a dark-skinned male wearing jeans and a dark-colored hoodie.

This incident is being actively investigated by the Iowa City Police Department and we are asking the public for assistance. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Iowa City Police Department at 319-356-5275. In addition, anyone in that area with security cameras is asked to review their recordings and contact the Iowa City Police Department with any potential footage or information about this incident.
