Receiving an eviction notice reportedly led to an Iowa City woman threatening an employee of her property management office.
31-year-old Tashira Richardson on Clearwater Court was booked into the Johnson County Jail on a 2nd Degree Harassment charge just before 12:15 Friday afternoon. Iowa City Police say Richardson went to her property management office on Broadway Street just after 9:15 on the morning of September 13th after receiving an eviction notice. She allegedly approached an employee outside the building and yelled at her, at one point reportedly saying she would “beat your ass”. The woman was wearing a baby backpack with her one-year-old child inside.
The incident was corroborated by witnesses and video footage.
If convicted, Richardson faces a maximum of one year in jail.
