A Fort Madison man was arrested early Sunday morning after allegedly fighting with bar staff and yelling at authorities.

Just after 12:20 am, 23-year-old Zachariah Raines was kicked out of Reunion Brewery for fighting with staff.  He was trespassed and asked by officers to walk away from the situation multiple times. Raines was allegedly observed with bloodshot watery eyes, slurred speech, and admitted to being intoxicated.

After officers let him go, they say Raines continued to make poor decisions and yelled at them while making obscene gestures.  That led to his arrest for public intoxication.

A search incident to arrest reportedly discovered a bag of suspected marijuana in his pockets.  Raines was found to have a previous possession conviction, and was charged with second offense marijuana possession and public intoxication. He could be sentenced to up to 13 months in jail if convicted on both counts.
