An Iowa City man was arrested Saturday for his alleged involvement in a fight outside the Iowa City Public Library.
Police say the incident occurred at approximately 11:21 pm. 18-year-old LeKeith Chambers reportedly was observed on surveillance camera striking a defenseless man in the face, knocking him to the ground.
Chambers was located by officers a few blocks away from the incident, and he was taken to the ground and put in handcuffs after a short pursuit. A bag of suspected marijuana was found incident to arrest.
He was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Interference with Official Acts and Marijuana Possession. If convicted on all counts, Chambers could be sentenced to up to 14 months in jail.
