An Iowa City man was arrested late Saturday after allegedly participating in a large fight downtown.
The incident occurred around 11pm on the Ped Mall. 29-year-old Stevie Thomas reportedly interjected himself into the fight, and allegedly knocked a victim to the ground, struck him several times, and kicked him in the face. The victim had injuries to his face, including a bloody nose. Medical treatment was required.
Thomas was taken into custody and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Assault causing Bodily Injury. If convicted on both counts, he could be sentenced to up to 13 months in jail.
