An Iowa City man accused of recording sex acts with minors now faces new charges for similar allegations in Coralville.

An Iowa City Police detective executed a search warrant on 19-year-old Jonathan Kiasosa’s phone June 18th related to an investigation on reports he was making pornographic videos with minors.  Two videos were found showing him engaged in a sex act with a 15-year-old girl at ST Morrison Park in Coralville.  The video reportedly shows Kiasosa clearly holding his cellphone recording the act.

The minor reportedly admitted to participating in multiple sex acts with Kiasosa at the park. The girl also alleged she wasn’t aware Kiasosa was recording them until she turned around and saw that he had his phone out. The girl said she never gave permission to have the sex acts recorded and demanded Kiasosa delete the videos.

Kiasosa was charged Thursday with Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and 1st Degree Harassment. If convicted on both counts, he could be sentenced to up to 27 years in prison.

Kiasosa is already awaiting a November 5th trial on three counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor Involving a Sex Act and five counts of Dissemination of Obscene Material to a Minor after he allegedly recorded himself performing sex acts on minors at his Indigo Drive residence and at Chadek Green Park on Friendship Street. He also allegedly distributed the video to others. If convicted on those charges, Kiasosa faces a maximum of 36 years in prison.
