Cedar Rapids Police have arrested a 44-year-old man who was wanted on multiple warrants after a motorcycle pursuit.
According to a release from the department, the incident occurred at approximately 5:39pm Monday. Police attempted to stop a motorcyclist near the intersection of Wilson Ave SW and Bowling St SW. The motorcycle driver attempted to elude officers in a pursuit that ended near the intersection of 22nd Ave SW and 3rd St SW. The driver was arrested after abandoning his motorcycle and attempting to leave the area.
Tony Westmoreland was taken to the Linn County Correctional Center and charged with Eluding Driving While Revoked, Reckless Driving, and multiple moving violations.
