Allegedly having almost ten pounds of marijuana shipped to his apartment has led to a Coralville man’s arrest.
According to arrest records, 28-year-old Hans Phanor had a co-defendant ship a package to Phanor’s 5th Street apartment on June 6th. Police say the package contained about 9.75 pounds of marijuana. It was reportedly discovered inside the residence when a search warrant was executed.
Text messages between Phanor and the co-defendant reportedly show Phanor asking for the marijuana to be delivered.
The Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation says the substance tested positive for marijuana, and Phanor was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 10:15 Friday morning. He’s charged with a Controlled Substance Violation and a Drug Tax Stamp Violation. If convicted on both charges, he faces a maximum of ten years in prison.
