A Quad Cities man is accused of trying to entice a minor in Iowa City for sex.

Iowa City Police say between June and August of this year 20-year-old Austin Sloan of Davenport communicated through social media with a person he believed to be under the age of 16. Investigators say Sloan made several sexual comments, sent a photo of an erect penis, and made plans to meet with the person for sexual purposes. He also allegedly asked for nude photos of the other person on several occasions.

Sloan was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 5:30 Thursday night and charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, Attempt to Entice a Minor, and Telephone Dissemination of Obscene Material to a Minor. If convicted on all charges he faces a maximum of 29 years in prison.
