A customer at the Riverside Drive McDonald’s apparently wasn’t lovin’ it after the restaurant reportedly got his order wrong, leading to an alleged assault of an employee.
Iowa City Police say 25-year-old Guillermo Acosta Franceschini of 33rd Avenue SW in Cedar Rapids began causing problems at the restaurant just before 11:00 Friday morning when he felt there was an issue with his order. He allegedly elbowed an employee who had grabbed him, striking the man in the head and causing pain. The employee reportedly let Acosta Franceschini go, and he fled the scene.
Acosta Franceschini is now charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury. If convicted, he faces a maximum of one year in jail.
