Former University of Iowa wide receiver Brandon Smith has signed with the New York Jets.
Smith was cut by the Arizona Cardinals before the 2023 season before playing with the D.C. Defenders of the United Football League and the XFL the last two seasons.
The 25-year-old Smith has yet to play in an NFL game, and even if he doesn’t make the Jets’ 53 man roster, he could end up on the team’s practice squad.
