An Iowa City man already facing charges that he sent sexual images to minors now faces new accusations, including performing sex acts with underage individuals.

19-year-old Jonathan Kiasosa was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 5:15 Friday night. Kiasosa is already facing a September 10th trial on three counts of Dissemination of Obscene Material to Minors after he allegedly used Instagram to send a video of a male masturbating to completion to a 17-year-old and two 14-year-olds.

Iowa City Police now say in May of 2023 Kiasosa recorded a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old performing a sex act on him inside a bathroom at Chadek Green Park on Friendship Street, then sent the video to the pair and other recipients.

In June of 2023 Kiasosa allegedly snuck a 14-year-old into his Indigo Court residence through a basement window and recorded him performing a sex act sex with her. He then reportedly sent the video to the girl and one of his friends.

Investigators say Kiasosa admitted to both incidents, and that the videos were recovered from the minors’ phones.

Kiasosa now faces two new counts of Dissemination of Obscene Material to a Minor as well as three counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor Involving a Sex Act.  If convicted on all current charges against him, Kiasosa faces a maximum of 35 years in prison.
