Starting Monday, University of Iowa students, faculty, and staff will be required to use Two-Step Login to access the Nite Ride request application.
According to a UI news release, the change is being implemented by UI Information Technology Services (ITS) to increase account security.
Two-Step Login uses multi-factor authentication to protect academic, personal, or financial information. Users will enter their Hawk ID and password to start their login, then verify their identity and complete their login using a device only they control—usually a phone.
