A Muscatine woman has been charged after 67 animals were seized from her property on Highway 22.

The Muscatine County Sheriff’s Office say a search warrant was executed at 2431 Highway 22, just west of Muscatine, on June 17th. 67 animals were seized and taken to It Take A Village Animal Rescue and Resources for screenings, examinations, and necropsies.

Earlier this month 44-year-old Kelly Marie Adams, who lives at the residence, was charged with six counts of Animal Neglect Resulting in Serious Injury or Death and 61 counts of Animal Neglect Without Injury. If convicted on all charges, she faces a maximum of over 11 years in jail.
