An Iowa City woman was charged with theft after allegedly stealing a donation box from a restaurant.

The incident reportedly occurred Monday afternoon at Taco Loco on Boyrum Street. According to police, 41-year-old Kamisha Terry of the Town and Campus Apartments removed a plastic donation container from the counter and concealed it in a bag.  She then allegedly left the restaurant with the container.

Police say there was $44 in the container.
