An Iowa City man was arrested after investigators tied him to an upload of graphic child sex abuse.

The incident reportedly took place on March 4th at the Iowa City Public Library downtown.  Police say a video depicting obvious child sex abuse material was uploaded to Google servers from an account with identifiers matching that of 38-year-old Jose Parsons of Plum Street.

A captured IP address during the upload came back to the listed location. Google also provided a verified phone number which also allegedly came back to Parsons.

A warrant was issued on May 23rd; Parsons was taken into custody Monday morning. He was charged with Purchase or Possession depicting a minor in a sex act, a Class D Felony punishable by a prison term of up to five years if convicted.
