The Iowa State Patrol says the subject of an Iowa City Amber Alert has been found safe.
The alert was issued at 7:12 Tuesday night for 15-year-old Ophelia Anne Barton. Barton was reportedly taken by 42-year-old Lindsey Anne White. The two were believed to have been traveling together in a blue 2014 Jeep Compass Sport with Iowa license plates, likely heading to Nichols.
The alert was rescinded less than an hour later, with the State Patrol saying Barton had been found unharmed.
No other details have been released.
