An Iowa City man was arrested after allegedly burglarizing a Coral Ridge Mall business after hours.

The incident reportedly took place just before 9pm on May 13th.  The mall closes at 7pm Mondays through Thursdays, and 30-year-old Terron Peterson, who lists his address as Shelter House on Southgate Avenue, was in the mall after hours.  He allegedly jumped the counter of the unidentified business and opened the cash register, taking about $400 in cash.

Peterson had been previously been given a three-year trespass warning in September of last year.

He was taken into custody and charged with 3rd degree Burglary and a Trespass offense. If convicted on the Burglary charge, he could be sentenced to up to five years in prison.
