A registered North Liberty sex offender is accused of possessing child pornography.
30-year-old Colin Brown of Parkview Court was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 11:00 Wednesday night. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says it was informed by Google in March that an account registered to Brown included two images of children engaged in sex acts. Brown’s phone was seized by investigators last September. It reportedly contained an image of a child performing a sex act.
Brown is charged with two counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. If convicted, he faces a maximum of seven years in prison.
Brown was convicted of 3rd Degree Sexual Abuse in 2015. His victim is listed as a girl between the ages of 14 and 17.
