A Coralville man was arrested on a warrant from last year when he allegedly was found with quantities of methamphetamine.

Police reportedly observed 38-year-old Brian Albaugh of 21st Avenue Place selling approximately 138 grams of the drug on the 800 block of Maggard Street the afternoon of March 29th 2023.  Then on April 26th of the same year, Albaugh allegedly completed a sale of over 90 grams of meth.

In both instances, the substances sold were sent to the Department of Criminal Investigation’s lab for testing and confirmed to be methamphetamine.

A warrant for Albaugh’s arrest was issued on May 9th.  He was booked at the Johnson County Jail this week and charged with two counts each of a Class B Controlled Substance violation and Failure to Affix Drug Stamp.  If convicted on all charges, Albaugh could be sentenced to up to 60 years in prison.
