The Iowa women’s basketball team will never replace Caitlin Clark…but they did get a new high-scoring point guard in the transfer portal.
Former Villanova guard Lucy Olsen announced on social media Wednesday that she was transferring to Iowa. Olsen averaged 23.3 points per game for Villanova this past season, making her the third-leading scorer in the nation last season behind Clark and USC’s JuJu Watkins.
Olsen visited the UI campus on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Pennsylvania native said it was the first time she’d ever had to seek shelter from a tornado.
