Tuesday’s storms have altered the construction timeline for the Rochester Avenue Reconstruction Project.
The City of Iowa City has issued a news release noting Rochester Avenue was temporarily closed on Wednesday and has reopened for the remainder of the week. Work is expected to resume on Monday and is anticipated to be completed by the end of the day on Friday, April 26th. Rochester Avenue will be closed between Union Place and Elizabeth Street during that time.
Access to residences will be maintained. This road closure will facilitate a sewer line repair in the area.
