South District Team Up to Clean Up event to be held this month

Iowa City’s South District is holding their annual spring clean-up event later this month.

According to a release from the City of Iowa City, the 7th Annual South District Area Team Up to Clean Up is scheduled for Sunday April 21st from 10am-noon.

The South District is looking for volunteers to help with garden bed prep, planting, weeding, mulching, trash pickup and other beautification efforts.

The locations being targeted this year are:

  1. Broadway Street Flower Beds along “Our Children Spoke” Mural
  2. Edible Forest @ Wetherby Park
  3. Sycamore Greenway Trail
  4. Resilient Sustainable Future for Iowa Nexus Building on Keokuk St.
  5. Iowa City Community Theatre’s Future Performing Arts Theatre site

ALL ARE WELCOME to come volunteer, but chldren must be accompanied by guardians.
