A Williamsburg woman who was wanted on warrants in another county was taken into custody in Tiffin Monday, but not before allegedly assaulting a deputy.

Officers were called to the Kum & Go on Village Drive  at around 11pm on reports of a possible wanted person on site.  Deputies identified 26-year-old Allica Bacon, whose record showed she was wanted out of Iowa County on marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession charges.

Bacon was taken into custody and asked if she was in possession of anything illegal to which she replied “no.” While being searched, a full syringe of a yellow liquid was recovered, but Bacon reportedly refused to tell deputies what it was. She also allegedly  kicked an assisting deputy.  She was taken to the ground, and the search was completed by a female officer.  The officer who was kicked reported pain but no lasting injury.

Bacon was charged with Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations, a Controlled Substance violation, and possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted on all counts, she could be sentenced to up to 25 months in jail.
