An area transient was arrested after allegedly taking items from an Iowa City outdoor recreation store and fleeing police.

According to the arrest report, officers responded to Fin & Feather on Highway 1 West Friday morning on report of a man in the store that stole items a few days before.  The suspect, identified as 52-year-old Jason Roling, reportedly fled from police as they went to stop him.
