A Cedar Rapids woman has been charged with harassment after threatening physical harm.

According to the criminal complaint, 24-year-old Amari McCutcheon was causing issues with the victim by calling her under her Instagram profile and sending her messages.  The woman, who lives in Iowa City, called McCutcheon on February 18th and told her she didn’t want McCutcheon to call her anymore.  McCutcheon allegedly told the woman, “bitch, I will really beat you the eff up, I’m not playing,”and “I said what the eff I said so you can either stop or get the eff up with me.”

McCutcheon also reportedly sent the woman a message saying she was going to spit on her the next time she saw her.

A warrant was issued for McCutcheon’s arrest on February 27th, and she was booked at the Johnson County Jail Tuesday. She faces a jail sentence of up to a year if convicted; Judge Jason Burns also issued a no-contact order between the two women Tuesday.
