The Jefferson Monroe Fire Department responded to a fire near Cou Falls Wednesday afternoon.
According to the department’s Facebook page, two trucks were dispatched to a structure fire at 1525 Cou Falls Road at 4:10 Wednesday afternoon. Arriving units discovered a detached shed emitting heavy smoke within 100 feet of a residence. The Swisher-based department soon received assistance from the North Liberty Fire Department. Two attack lines were administered on hot spots, and the fire was quickly extinguished.
No damage estimate has been released.
